Excellent frog for beginners. This small quarter size frog can grow to 4-6 inches and live up to 10 years.
Complete habitat kit! Includes: pet frog, 12”x8”x7” habitat, water soaking dish, peat moss substrate, mister, 3 decorative plants, cholla log and easy directions.
They are called “Pac-Man” frogs because of their fairly round shape, really large mouth and big appetite which makes them resemble the popular video game character.
They are mainly inactive and so do not need a large habitat, even though the frog can get large.
Our 12”x8”x7” habitat is the perfect size for a juvenile PacMan and frequently you do not need to
ever get a larger habitat. PacMans are interesting and attractive pet frogs, but do not expect much
movement except at feeding time.
PacMan frogs are carnivorous, feeding on insects and any other animal it can swallow. Because they will often try to eat other frogs, they should be kept one per habitat.
These frogs prefer the ground to climbing like tree frogs. The special PacMan frog habitat we offer is made for them, so they have lots of room to roam around on the ground.
These frogs like high humidity. Using moist peat bedding as substrate helps to hold the humidity,
as well as daily misting. The frog habitat we offer is made to maintain temperature and humidity.
